General Info

Located at 10795 Birmingham Way #15, Woodstock, MD 21104, United States, Oscar's Alehouse delivers the kind of relaxed, American restaurant experience that feels familiar the moment you walk in. The space has that easygoing diner-meets-alehouse vibe, where the menu is comforting, the service is fast, and the atmosphere encourages you to settle in and enjoy your meal without any fuss.

The menu is built around classic American favorites, and the Bavarian Pretzel is a standout from the start. Served warm and soft, it’s the kind of appetizer that sets the tone for the rest of the meal. From there, the Turkey and Avocado Club Sandwich brings together fresh, satisfying flavors that feel both hearty and balanced, making it a popular choice for lunch or a casual dinner.

Burger lovers often gravitate toward the Wood Grill Burger and Fries. The grilled flavor adds depth, while the fries arrive hot and crisp, making the plate feel complete and filling. For something more indulgent, the Ribs paired with Fries and Coleslaw hit that comfort-food sweet spot. The ribs are rich and satisfying, and the combination of sides rounds out the dish with familiar textures and flavors that work well together.

Dessert doesn’t feel like an afterthought here. The Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream is warm, comforting, and just sweet enough, especially when the ice cream starts to melt into every bite. It’s the kind of dessert that feels homemade and nostalgic, perfect for ending the meal on a relaxed note.

Beyond the food, the service helps define the overall experience. Fast service keeps things moving, whether you’re stopping in briefly or staying awhile. Counter service adds to the casual feel, while debit cards are accepted for easy payment. Alcohol is available, which pairs naturally with the alehouse atmosphere, and practical features like a wheelchair-accessible toilet make the location welcoming for all guests.

For diners browsing local reviews or exploring nearby locations for a dependable American restaurant, Oscar's Alehouse stands out for its consistency. The combination of a solid menu, approachable service, and a comfortable setting makes it a reliable spot to return to, whether you’re craving a burger, ribs, or a simple, satisfying dessert.

What customers say?

“ Jewel of a family style American restaurant that is in their Woodstock location. Location: lots of free parking close by. Atmosphere- regular dining and separate area that could easily accommodate private groups. We had the patio side dining space pretty much to ourselves on a weekday evening. They also have a covered open patio area with a lovely partial view of the golf course near by. Service- one person was assigned to our group of twelve. She was very accommodating, handling separate checks and made sure the kitchen had two special diets prepared and gluten free. She was awesome. Food- was delicious, didn’t see much left overs on people’s plates. The burgers looked juicy and well stacked with their fixings and they make their own house sauces. Salads looked well composed with fresh local ingredients. Prices- reasonably priced and easy to read. Wide selection of daily and weekly specials. Could easily see this becoming a locals favorite place to grab a meal or quick business lunch group. ”

“ I ordered pickup from this restaurant through DoorDash, and unfortunately had a very bad experience. When I got home and opened my order, I found an actual screw in my food. I immediately contacted the restaurant, but the manager told me they couldn’t offer a refund because it was placed through DoorDash. This is completely unacceptable from both a food safety and customer service standpoint. I understand mistakes happen, but finding a metal screw in my meal is dangerous and should never happen. I will not be ordering from here again and hope the restaurant takes immediate steps to improve food safety and customer service. ”

“ Excellent addition to the family of Oscar's Alehouses. Unlike the Eldersburg location, this one has a ton of natural light due to all of the windows around the perimeter. There is tons of space inside to accommodate large groups if needed. Food and service were both excellent. I highly recommend the Bavarian Pretzel appetizer. The blackened chicken sandwich was very filling, with a slight kick either from the seasoning or the sauce on the perfectly toasted bread. ”

“ Stopped in for lunch over a weekend. During the fall baseball season, employees of the restaurant handed out coupons to dine in. My husband really enjoyed the French onion soup and the wings. The wings had a Smokey/peppery taste and were crispy. I tried to grouper sandwich which was good! It was prepared different than I’ve had in the past (comes topped with coleslaw and thousand island dressing). We sat in the bar area, which was only staffed with one bartender/waitress, so the service was a little slow. We had a great experience though and will be back! ”

“ UPDATE: 1/10/25 I gotta say Oscars Ale house does not disappoint when it comes to bread pudding! My wife and shared this dessert and wow was it good. It just the right amount of sweet, soft, and creamy. Everything you want in a bread pudding. The scope of vanilla is the perfect amount for two. This place has the best burgers in town. The atmosphere is great. Easy going, great for sports and a date night. If you want beer, this is the place for you. If you have a good burger, this place has you covered. If you chicken wings, again this is the place to be. My wife and I eat here just about once a week. The service is perfect along with the food. Recently I had the Philly cheesesteak burger special and I have to say I was impressed by the flavor and the creativity of the item. The price is just right for what you. They also change the burger special weekly. So you never know what you’re going to get out of their special. If you are looking for a great and easy going sports bar with good food, good prices, and the best customer service around this is the restaurant for you. ”

“ Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Food proportions were more than adequate. When we visited it was crowded, so a little noisy, but not obnoxious. A special treat were the fried jalapenos - not greasy but crispy. Onion rings were also very good ”
